• Diagnose technical issues and improve app performance

VidyaMine Voices uses a phone number and one-time password (OTP) system as the sole method of user authentication. Here is how it works:

• You enter your mobile phone number on the login screen
• A one-time password (OTP) is sent to that number via SMS
• After successful OTP verification, you are logged into the app
• If you are a new user, we will ask for your name — this is the only additional information collected
• Returning users are taken directly into the app after verification

OTPs are single-use, time-limited codes. We use reputable third-party SMS delivery services to send OTPs securely. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your phone number and not use it for any other purpose.

VidyaMine Voices provides CBSE curriculum audio content organized by board, class, subject, chapter, and topic. We collect minimal data related to your use of this content:

• Playback progress – so you can resume from where you left off
• Downloaded topics – stored locally on your device for offline listening
• Playback speed preferences – your chosen speed setting (0.8x to 2.0x)
• Filter selections – your board, class, and subject preferences

Audio files downloaded for offline use are stored on your device's local storage. You can delete them at any time from within the app's Offline Library section. We do not upload or store your audio listening recordings on our servers.

We do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise transfer your personal information to outside parties except in the following limited circumstances:

• SMS / OTP Service Providers: Your phone number is shared with our SMS gateway provider solely to deliver the OTP. They are bound by strict data processing agreements.
• Hosting & Infrastructure: Our app backend is hosted on secure servers. Infrastructure providers process data only as instructed by us and under confidentiality agreements.
• Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government authority, or to protect the safety and rights of users or the public.
• Business Transfer: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, user data may be transferred. We will notify you before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services.

• Your account data (phone number and name) is retained while your account exists
• OTP codes are discarded immediately after verification or expiry
• Usage and learning data is retained to maintain your progress and preferences
• If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, subject to legal retention obligations
